What is a Thread Count?

Answer:

A Thread Count is the number of threads per square inch, both vertically and horizontally, in a one-inch square of fabric.  The higher the Thread Count, the softer and more lustrous the fabric, and the more durable and less prone to shrinkage.  You can check our Product Search to view the various items with various Thread Counts available.  Egyptian Cotton Royale carries high and low thread counts ranging from 200 to 1500 for your preference and selection.

Experiment: Hold a sheet up to the light.  If you can see through the fabric and make out the actual weave, you have a low thread count bedding.
